1.  Make a list of several motivations (7) you have for coming to school.
2.  Ask four teachers or administrators the same question.

3.  When both lists are completed, compare and contrast the two.

c)    Write a half-page analysis of your observations.

1.    Get a newspaper/Internet (old or current)
2.    Find three examples for each of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

The article can relate to the need in any way, as long as support is offered.

Example #1  A story about a starving person could show that this person has not satisfied level one and would therefore not care much about self-esteem or belongingness.

Example #2  A person staging a protest could be about someone who is self-actualizing, someone who is willing to sacrifice to convey a message.
